Practical Description: The property is located north of Interstate 70, approximately halfway between the Town of Silt and the City of Rifle. There is no physical address for the property, but the Assessor's Parcel No. is 2179-083-00-103. The parcel is located within Sections 8 and 17, Townships 6 South, Range 92 West, of the 6th PM.
Project Description: The applicant has requested a Major Impact Review Land Use Change Permit for a Gravel Operation to be located on the approximately 57.9-acre parcel. Access will be off of County Road 346 and regulated by Colorado Department of Transportation. The applicant has proposed to haul potable water to the site and to provide portable toilets for Staff on the property. The property is zoned Rural.
All persons affected by the proposed project are invited to appear and state their views, protests or support. If you cannot appear personally at such hearing, then you are urged to state your views by letter or email (Email Me) as the Planning Commission will give consideration to the comments of surrounding property owners, and others affected, in deciding whether to recommend approval or denial of the request to the Board of County Commissioners.
